New shopping, dining guide/map available

Visitors and residents now have a shopping and dining guide of Historic Downtown Delaware to enhance their experience. Created by the Delaware County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the guide includes a walkable map locating shopping and dining businesses within the Historic Downtown area.

“The Convention & Visitors Bureau is located in Downtown Delaware. With an increasing number of new restaurants and businesses, and an influx of new visitors and residents stopping by for downtown information, we saw a real need for a map of the Historic Downtown District. It will truly enrich the visitor experience,” said Deb Shatzer, Executive Director of the Delaware County CVB.

“The guide and map are also a great marketing tool to use for economic development purposes. If potential businesses and residents can hold the guide in their hands and more easily navigate our charming downtown, we’ve made their decision making process that much easier,” Shatzer continued.

The CVB already produces an annual visitor’s guide and friendly website that highlight and showcase attractions all around the County to attract visitors. The Historic Downtown Delaware shopping and dining guide will accomplish the same goal while also enhancing the guests’ experience once they’re here. In addition to the CVB’s tourism information center, the guide will be downloadable from the CVB website, visitdelohio.com, available to guests staying at Delaware County hotels, and be a great resource for participants coming to Delaware for major conferences and events.

Should the guide be well-received by visitors, the CVB plans to reprint an updated version next year. The county is continuously growing and changing, and other area maps may be considered in the future.

The Delaware County Convention and Visitors Bureau office is located at 34 S. Sandusky St., Delaware, where you can pick up a copy.
