The Olentangy Local School District Board of Education will consider this evening the total connection charge for the fourth high school’s water supply.

The total cost for water tap fees from Del-Co Water Co. for Berlin High School are $133,910, which includes a 3-inch meter and two 6-inch fire lines for the main building and a 2-inch meter for the football stadium.

“Additional capacity charges may apply if changes to thee plans, or additional buildings or future phases are constructed on the site,” said Shane Clark, deputy general manager of Del-Co Water, in a letter to the district.

Construction of the new school, located along Berlin Station Road, east of Gregory Road in Berlin Township, is expected to be completed during the summer of 2018, before its opening at the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

In other business:

• The board will consider a $166,200-purchase of security cameras for Liberty and Orange high schools, Hyatts, Orange and Liberty middle schools and 12 elementary schools along with two bus garages.

• Communications Director Krista Davis and Chief of Administrative Services Randy Wright will provide an update on the Attendance Boundaries Committee. And the board will have first reading of policy updates and discussion of its five-year capital improvement plan.

Further information was not available.

The board will meet at the Olentangy Administrative Office, 814 Shanahan Road, 6 p.m. in the BOE conference room.
