Delaware police report:

• An assault report was taken Sunday night at home on Ross Street. Police report a man entered another man’s bedroom and stole ice cream that belonged to a third man. The owner of the ice cream then assaulted the theft suspect. There were no charges filed after the incident.

• A criminal damaging report was taken in the 300 block of Rockmill Street. A resident reported that someone cut the wires to his Christmas lights overnight Saturday.

• Police were requested in the area of a bar on South Sandusky Street Sunday just after 2:30 a.m. A 26-year-old said he had been punched in the face by another man on the sidewalk after a dispute over alleged comments about a woman they both knew. The other man was located nearby and taken into custody and charged with assault.

• A report was taken after bridge supports on East Lincoln Avenue were spray painted with profanity overnight Dec. 9.
