Delaware police report:

A woman was called by someone claiming to be the IRS Wednesday night. After the woman questioned the caller’s identity, the caller threatened to break into her house and rape her. An investigation is ongoing.

An 18-year-old man was trying to hide beer in his pants at the Certified Gas Station on East William Street Thursday just after 1:10 a.m. An employee told police he saw the man hide the beer in his pants before the man left. Police found the man nearby and learned he was under 21 years old and had been drinking. He was issued a summons for underage consumption.

Fifty-five dollars in cash was stolen from a Delaware Hayes High School student’s candy bar fundraising bag Thursday afternoon. Police have no suspects.

Brothers were fighting at their home on Hayes Street Thursday. After police arrived and broke up the fight, the men refused to cooperate with officers and said they did not want to file charges. Neither party appeared to have sustained injuries and officers left.

A rock was thrown through a window at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church overnight Wednesday. Police have no suspects.
