Airport Commission meeting tonight

Delaware’s airport commission will meet at City Hall, 1 S. Sandusky St., 7 p.m. in council chambers. Agenda items include a presentation of the new Business-Rotocraft Training Center LLC, discussion of a long range maintenance/fee increase plan and discussion of a strategic business plan for the Delaware Municipal Airport.

Oxford Township meeting planned

The Board of Zoning Appeals and Zoning Commission of Oxford Township will meet at the Oxford Township Hall located at 5125 Shoemaker Road, Ashley, on Wednesday Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting will be to organize and elect official officers for both the Oxford Township Board of Zoning Appeals and Zoning Commission committees.

The public is welcome.

Open house for Sweet Adelines

The Ohio Heartland Chapter of the Sweet Adelines chorus is searching for female singers. The organization recently celebrated 40 years of service.

An open house is planned Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church choir room, 73 W. Winter St., Delaware.

The group sings for church services, birthdays, and other events including for service clubs and at the Delaware County Fair.

County road work planned

The following work is planned in the Delaware County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.

State Route 315 – At 5 a.m. Monday, SR 315 south of SR 750 to Jewett Road will close for three weeks, weather permitting, for tree clearing and utility relocation. The detour is SR 750 to US 23 to I-270 to SR 315. During the three-week closure, crews may be working around-the-clock, which is permitted since it is outside the city limits. Chippers, chainsaws, generators and lights will be used for this work. The work could be loud. Completion: Feb. 14 at 12 noon, weather permitting.

State Route 315 – At 5 a.m., Jan. 30, SR 315 north of SR 750 to Retreat Lane will close for 3 ½ months or 100 days for construction of the stabilization wall. The detour is SR 750 to US 23 to SR 315 or reverse. Wall construction will occur during daytime hours only. Completion: May 8, weather permitting.

During the SR 315 closures, SR 750 (both directions) will remain open.
