The fourth and final showing of the National Geographic Channel film about climate change around the world, “Before the Flood,” will be in the First Presbyterian Church basement, 73 W. Winter St., at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28.

The film will be followed by a moderated discussion about these complex issues — which may be increasingly perplexing to us with the many warm January days we are having this year.

The moderator for this fourth discussion will be Shelia Fox. Fox is a retired teacher and school guidance counselor.

In the community, Sheila is co-founder and current board member of Sustainable Delaware Ohio (SDO) and is also active with the Delaware chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and with Simply Living of Central Ohio.

Fox lives in Delaware Township with her husband Chuck and their animals. She has three children and eight grandchildren.

For two years the “Before the Flood” camera crew traveled around the world, visiting five continents and speaking with scientists, world leaders, environmental activists and local residents about apparent climate change in their midst, while visually recording the evidence, a news release states.

This film and moderated discussion is the fourth and last in a series of public showings in January in an effort to make this information available to as many Delaware residents as possible.

The film showings and moderated discussions are co-hosted by the Earth Care Team of the First Presbyterian Church, Delaware Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Sustainable Delaware.
