Delaware police report:

A traffic stop was conducted in the 2600 block of U.S. 23 Thursday just before 1:30 a.m. The officer pulled the vehicle over for a traffic violation and during the stop the officer investigated and found a 28-year-old passenger was in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The passenger was issued a summons for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Officers were called to a home on Cheshire Street Thursday afternoon on the report of a runaway teenager. The girl’s father told police that his 13-year-old daughter did not return home from school that day. The father said the girl had texted him earlier and requested to go to a friend’s home but he had denied the request and ordered her to come home. Officers began to search for the daughter and eventually located her at the Mingo Park recreation center. The daughter was returned to the custody of her father and was charged with being an unruly juvenile.
