Bright receives degree

Courtney Bright, a native of Galena, received a BA-Communication Studies, with distinction; BA-English,with distinction degree from the University of Iowa at the close of the fall 2016 semester.

Marist College Dean’s List

Christopher Mitchell of Powell is a member of the class of 2020 and is majoring in fashion merchandising.

Walters to perform in concert

The Trine University (Angola, Indiana) Wind Ensemble, directed by Professor Mark Kays, chair of the Department of Music, will present a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, in Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

Nicole Walters of Sunbury, a chemical engineering major, will perform as part of the Wind Ensemble. The event is open to the public.
