A goodwill offering or canned good donation will gain admission to the Jan. 16 Hayes High School band concert.

Dinner tickets are also now on sale for the Hayes marching band and guard’s “Melodies and Marinara” show.

The dinner and concert will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, in the Hayes High School commons and auditorium.

Pre-sale tickets ($6 and $8) are available from Andrew Doherty, director of bands at Delaware City Schools, any Hayes band student or Nan Dean of the Friends of the Grand Pacer Marching Band. Dean can be contacted at [email protected].

“Check out our first-ever silent auction before and after the dinner and concert,” Dean said. “Items include Disney World park hopper passes, Clipper tickets, a Cleveland Cavalier gift package, golf and spa packages, Columbus Zoo and COSI passes, gift cards, games and much more. Community leaders, local businesses and band parents have generously contributed many exciting items to the dinner and auction event. Attend and enjoy a fun evening with the band and guard, an award-winning symbol of our awesome Delaware community and schools.”

The Grand Pacer Marching Band and Guard competes in the Ohio Music Education Association and Mid-States Band Association circuits, performs in Delaware city parades and supports Hayes High School football and basketball teams.
