Radio program returns
Delaware’s radio program, “Delaware City Digest,” again is airing live every Friday, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on 1550-AM and 92.9 FM.
PUCO warns of utility payment scam
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) is warning utility customers to beware of a payment scam that has re-surfaced across the state recently.
The scam is targeting electric and natural gas utility customers, both residential and small business. A caller claiming to represent the utility informs the customer that they owe money from their past bill and must pay immediately or face termination of service. Customers are instructed to purchase a prepaid debit card and then call a toll-free number to transfer the money.
Utilities do not ask for prepaid debit cards for payment and will provide ample time for customers to make a payment before service is terminated, a PUCO news release states.
Customers having questions about their account should call the appropriate utility. For help with utility-related matters, call the PUCO Call Center at 800-686-7826 or visit www.PUCO.ohio.gov.
Lenten Film Festival set
William Street United Methodist Church opens its 9th annual Lenten Film Festival Sunday, March 12 with Disney’s Moana. The film begins at 4 p.m., followed by apotluck meal and discussion.
Other films include Loving, March 19; SING!, March 26; Zootopia, April 9.
Each film in the festival is meant to inspire viewers to grow in love with God and with one another. William Street Church is located at 28 W. William Street.

Tree and shrub seedling sale
Delaware Soil & Water Conservation District is holding its annual tree and shrub seedling sale. These seedlings are well suited to urban, suburban, and rural settings, come in several packet sizes, and are bare root seedlings making them very easy to plant.
These species can be integral components in a landscape beautification plan, provide habitat for wildlife including pollinators, increase property values, reduce home heating and cooling costs, and more.
The sale is ongoing, first come first served, and trees will be available for pick up at the District office in early April. All of the species descriptions, packet sizes, and costs are available at www.delawareswcd.org or you may call the office at 740-368-1921 and ask for the information to be mailed to you.
PERI chapter to meet
Public Employees Retirees Inc.’s Delaware County Chapter #36 will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 3 at SourcePoint, 800 Cheshire Road.
