Delaware police report:

A mother on Amber Light Circle called to report her 19-year-old son was drinking with some friends just after midnight Saturday. The woman returned home to find her son in possession of alcoholic beverages and called police. The son’s friends had left by the time officers arrived. Officers, after determining the son had been drinking, issued a court summons in connection with underage consumption of alcohol.

A boy brandished a knife at his father during an argument Saturday afternoon at their home on West William Street. The father said he and his 14-year-old son were fighting about the son’s behavior when the boy took a knife and made statements about harming himself before he left the home. The father said he did not want to press charges but he was worried about his son. Officers found the boy and transported him to Grady Memorial Hospital for a behavioral health evaluation.

A woman reported an acquaintance’s car was in her driveway on Timbersmith Drive Sunday just before 3 a.m. The woman said she tried to contact the man to move the car but he was nowhere to be found. Officers found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in plain sight in the car before setting out to find the man. The man was located at a Kroger fuel station and officers said the man was intoxicated and unable to take care of himself. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

A father found marijuana and alcohol in his daughter’s room at their Vista Ridge Drive home Sunday afternoon. Police confiscated the drugs and alcohol, and forwarded charges of prohibition and possession of marijuana to Delaware County Juvenile Court.
