Local parks activities slated

The public has been invited to join Preservation Parks of Delaware County at the following free events:

• “Sausage Making,” Saturday, Jan. 16, 10 a.m. Participate in making fresh sausage with an antique sausage stuffer. Afterward, participants will cook what they have made, along with some fresh eggs, on the wood-burning stove. All ages. Gallant Farm, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road.

• “Story Time in the Park,” Monday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m. Youngsters ages 0-3 will hear a nature-themed story, and sing a song with a volunteer. Deer Haven Park, 4183 Liberty Road, Delaware.

• Delaware County Bird Club, Monday, Jan. 25, 7 p.m. Jason Larson will discuss “The Quest for the January 100,” followed by refreshments. All ages. Deer Haven Park.

• Gallant Farm Book Club, Wednesday, Jan. 27, 6:30 p.m. Come to Gallant Farm to continue the readings about earlier times and discuss “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie. Ages 14 and up.
