Delaware police report:

A theft report was taken at Dollar Tree Wednesday after it was reported that a woman was stealing merchandise. A 43-year-old woman was arrested and charged with theft. She was taken to the Delaware County Jail.

A report was taken Wednesday afternoon at Dempsey Middle School after it was reported that a juvenile assaulted a staff member and then left the building. The juvenile was located and transported to Delaware County Juvenile Court. The investigation is ongoing.

An officer was dispatched to a home on Maple Street Wednesday afternoon after a resident reported someone stole prescription medication from her residence the day before. The incident is under investigation.
