Two members of the Delaware County Fair Board have resigned because of plans to move out of county. Members of the board must reside in Delaware County.

“They will be missed and I wish them the best,” Sandy Kuhn, Delaware County Fair general manager, said Monday.

Kirt Trimble said he had gotten engaged a couple of weeks ago and he plans to move to Franklin County with his future wife.

“I’m going to miss working on the fair board,” Trimble said.

However, Trimble said he wasn’t really leaving because he’ll still work in Delaware.

“I’m not leaving the community,” he said. “I’m in Delaware every day, I just can’t be on the fair board.”

Lindsay Hope is engaged to a man established in Logan County, where she plans to move.

Hope said she’d grown up in Delaware County and that agriculture has been a big part of her life.

“I’ve always been in 4-H,” she said. “Being on the fairboard was a really good experience and I made a lot of great friends.”

Hope said she intends to stay involved in agriculture.
