Choir to perform

The Ostrander Seniors group will meet Thursday, hosting the Marion Senior Citizen Choir for a selection of vocal music at 1 p.m. at the Ostrander Community building. Goodies will be served after the entertainment.

Gallery 22 hosts art show

Gallery 22 will be hosting an art show for the Ohio Pastel Artist League. The organization represents approximately 75 artists working primarily in the pastel medium throughout the State of Ohio.

“This year’s show will give the residents of Delaware and the surrounding areas an opportunity to see some truly fine art. The show will include still life, portraits and plein air landscapes, from artists who have won local, national and international awards. We invite everyone while they are visiting on First Friday to stop by the Gallery,” said Diane Ruck, president of OPAL.

The show will open on May 5 and run through June 25. There will be an opening reception on May 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. It also includes refreshments and live music by local musicians. The reception is free to the public. Gallery 22 is located at 22 E. Winter St., Delaware.

Lewis Center Road closing

The Delaware County Engineer will close Lewis Center Road between Bale Kenyon Road and Africa Road for the reconstruction of the bridge over Alum Creek. The road will close Monday, May 1 and reopen on Friday, June 30.

Fire hydrant flushing set

The Liberty Township Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the Liberty Township/Powell area beginning on Monday, May 1 and will be completed on or before May 31. During this time, customers could experience a temporary discoloration of the water, and or a temporary decrease in the water pressure.

Chicken noodle dinner planned

There will be a chicken noodle dinner Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at West Berlin Presbyterian Church, 2911 Berlin Station Road.

There will be food for a complete meal. Visitors are invited to see the new Berlin High School being built across the road.
