Plans are in place for several events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of St. Peter’s Church on Winter Street in Delaware.
A celebratory traditional church service with Holy Communion will be held at 9:30 a.m. with special guests, including the Bishop of the Diocese of Southern Ohio and former clergy of St. Peter’s.
Specially chosen music for organ and choir will be performed.
Afterwards there will be a formal unveiling of a bronze site marker recognizing St. Peter’s’ official entry into the National Register of Historic Places. City officials have been invited to attend, and the public is welcome.
The Delaware Community Chorus will perform in the church at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. with tickets available at the door.
St. Peter’s is the only Episcopal Church in Delaware County.
