City events this week

The city of Delaware will have one public meeting this week at City Hall, 1 S. Sandusky St., in council chambers. Delaware City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. The Board of Zoning Appeals meeting for Wednesday was canceled. Agendas for the meetings can be found at www.delawareohio.net/agendas-motions-summaries-meeting-recordings/. The meetings will also be live streamed at www.youtube.com/c/CityofDelawareOH.

In addition, bulk item collection is Tuesday. Residents are able to schedule a pick-up for the second Tuesday of each month. The cost is $25 for up to three bulk items per stop. Residents must pay and schedule in advance at the City’s Public Works facility, 440 E. William St.

Entrepreneurs needed for gathering

The city of Delaware’s economic development department will have its Delaware Does Entrepreneur Gathering 7:30 to 9 a.m. May 18 at the Strand Theatre. The format will include coffee, collaboration and networking. Three local entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas and business model for five minutes each.

Ohio EPA to speak at Chamber’s Third Thursday

The Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce will host Ohio EPA Director Craig Butler at SourcePoint, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Deadline to register is May 15.

Library to host history walk

The Delaware County District Library’s Ostrander Branch, 75 N. 4th St., will host a walk while sharing the history of Ostrander from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Participants will meet at the library.

Observatory hours change for season

Perkins Observatory will continue to have public programs every Friday starting at 9 p.m. this season. For tickets, call 740-363-1257.
