Delaware police report:

Off-duty officers were eating at Hamburger Inn Sunday about 6 a.m. when they were approached by the manager. The manager told police that there was an intoxicated woman who had just purposefully spilled coffee on a cashier. The officers found the woman outside the restaurant and she was cooperative, but somewhat disorderly. Officers allowed her to call several people to pick her up and take care of her because she was intoxicated; ultimately she could not find anyone and she was taken into custody for disorderly conduct via intoxication.

Officers were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash Friday night in the area of U.S. 42 and Sawmill Parkway. Police made contact with the operator of the vehicle and learned he was under the influence of alcohol. Police also learned he was a concealed carry weapon permit holder and had a loaded gun in the vehicle. The man was taken into custody for operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Police and medics were summoned to a residence on North Union Street Saturday just after midnight to deal with a drug overdose. First responders transported the man to Grady Memorial Hospital and later issued him a summons for possession of drug abuse instruments.
