East Orange Road not closing

The Delaware County Engineer will delay until further notice the closing of East Orange Road between South Old State Road and Summerfield Drive for Del-Co utility work.

Vouchers for farmers market

SourcePoint will begin distributing farmers market vouchers May 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SourcePoint, 800 Cheshire Road in Delaware. County residents age 55 and older who meet eligibility requirements may apply.

The vouchers can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, baked goods, honey, and even food-bearing plants. Participants who sign up will receive 20 $3 vouchers, a total value of $60 that can be used at participating farmers markets in Sunbury, Powell, and Delaware.

To qualify for the program, Delaware County residents, age 55 and older, must have an annual income of up to $24,120 for a single individual or $32,480 for a couple. Additionally, they cannot reside in a nursing home or other facility where meals are provided.

Applications will be available at SourcePoint’s customer service desk or online starting May 25, or at the participating farmers markets beginning June 3. Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For information, visit www.mysourcepoint.org/vouchers.

Retired teachers set luncheon

The Delaware County Retired Teachers Association summer luncheon is noon, June 9, at Terrace Room, Willow Brook Christian Village, 100 Willow Brook Way, Delaware.

The program is STRS Ohio – “Pension and Healthcare Updates.” Cost for lunch will be $15. All retired teachers, administrators, spouses and friends are invited to attend.
