First Commonwealth Bank promotes Pinnick

First Commonwealth Bank, part of First Commonwealth Financial Corp., announced the addition of Amy Pinnick as its new financial solutions market leader for central Ohio. In this position, Pinnick will oversee 14 retail banking offices.

Pinnick was with Delaware County Bank for over a decade before it merged with First Commonwealth. She has retail banking experience in both Delaware and Marion counties.

“Amy brings to First Commonwealth 25 years of retail banking experience and leadership,” said Joe Culos, Financial Solutions Executive. “With our recent acquisition of Delaware County Bank, Amy’s leadership in Central Ohio will be essential as we work to integrate our teams.”

Zoning appeals meeting canceled

The City of Delaware Board of Zoning Appeals meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 12 has been canceled.

DACC Board meets July 20

The Delaware Area Career Center Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at the South Campus, 4565 Columbus Pike. Meeting agendas are posted on the DACC website www.delawareareacc.org.

Bulk-item collection coming up

The city of Delaware will collect large, bulky items on Thursday, July 13. Residents can pay $25 for up to three bulk items per stop. Residents must pay and schedule in advance at the city’s Public Works facility, 440 East William St. Bulk-item collection is the second Tuesday of each month.

Free zoo entry for military

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is hosting “Military Family Free Dayz” July 1-7. Members of the military, both past and present, and their immediate family are welcome to enjoy free admission to the zoo and discounted admission to Zoombezi Bay. Cheshire Road closed for construction

The Delaware County Engineer reports that part of Cheshire Road will be closed until Tuesday, Aug. 15 for a construction project. The stretch of Cheshire from Tara Glen Drive to Gregory Road will be closed to traffic during the road-widening project, which is being conducted by Park Enterprise Construction.

Construction on Section Line Road

The Delaware County Engineer said South Section Line Road between U.S. 42 and Airport Road will be closed Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 14 for concrete repairs. For information, call 740-833-2400 or visit www.co.delaware.oh.us/engineer/RoadClosures/projectpg.asp.

U.S. 23-Hills Miller work to end July 20

The estimated completion date of the U.S. 23 and Hills Miller Road intersection project is now July 20. The postponement is due to private utility company delays relocating gas utility lines. The Hills Miller Road closure from U.S. 23 to Bruce Road will remain in place until July 20, as well. Traffic is being detoured utilizing Coover Road and Troy Road.
