The Willow Brook at Delaware Run Residents’ Association will host its annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.

The 11th edition of the event will be held in the facility’s underground garage located on West William Street at Delaware Crossing East in Delaware.

Residents of the retirement community provide sale items which include indoor/outdoor furniture; kitchenware, cookware; household linens; toys, games and puzzles; jewelry; Christmas decorations; glassware and China; paintings, collectors items; and general items.

Unsold items are donated to local charities.

Proceeds from the sale help support DRRA projects, activities and events to meet a range of resident needs, and over the years have included automatic door openers for the handicapped, blood pressure cuffs, special library shelving, and group use sewing machines to meet special needs. The association also contributes a portion of scholarship assistance to Willow Brook employees for their educational pursuits.
