Delaware Police searching for bike-riding flasher


Police are searching for a man they believe has exposed himself to strangers several times in the last two months.

Police report the individual is described as a white male in his 20s with strawberry blonde hair, wearing a black T-shirt and flip flops.

On July 13, at approximately 7:10 p.m. a shopkeeper in the first block of North Sandusky Street reported that a man revealed his genitalia while riding his bike in a parking lot. On Aug. 15, just before midnight, a similar call was taken in the area of West Winter Street and North Franklin Street.

Then, on Aug. 21, an identical report was taken in the area of East Central Avenue and U.S. 23, and on Aug. 23, a woman reported a similar crime while she was on the bike path in the area of U.S. 23 and East Winter Street.

Police report there have been no injuries and are urging the public to contact them if they have any information about the man.

“Please remain vigilant and report suspicious activity or persons to police,” the City of Delaware Police Department said in a post on Facebook.
