Delaware police report:

• Police responded to a home on Renner Street Wednesday afternoon after a male sent suicidal messages to a family member. The man was located and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for an evaluation. No charges were filed.

• A 59-year-old man living on Penick Avenue was arrested and charged with domestic violence Wednesday afternoon. Police report the man was taken to the Delaware County Jail and charged with domestic violence, assault, and disorderly conduct.

Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies report:

• An Oak Harbor, Ohio, man contacted deputies Monday evening to report he had struck a deer on State Route 37 east. The man was reportedly not injured, but his vehicle did sustain damage.

• A theft report was taken Wednesday after a Dustin Road resident in Galena reported that $7 in coins and a $5 plastic Buddha doll were stolen from his vehicle.
