Ohio Wesleyan University’s Department of Education will host an accreditation visit Nov. 4-6 by examiners from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In advance of the visit, interested parties are invited to submit written comments to the examiners before Oct. 22.

Recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, CAEP is a uniform accreditation system that seeks to raise the performance of all providers focused on educator preparation. Currently, more than 850 educator preparation providers participate in the system. Ohio Wesleyan’s Department of Education has been nationally accredited since 2006.

For those who wish to provide written statements, comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered by Ohio Wesleyan, and should specify the party’s relationship to the OWU Department of Education, such as graduate, present or former faculty member, or employer of university graduates.

Copies of all correspondence received will be submitted to Ohio Wesleyan for comment prior to the review. Per CAEP guidelines, no anonymous testimony will be considered. To submit comments, please mail them to the address below or email them to [email protected].
