SourcePoint’s annual Health & Wellness Expo is set for Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. at 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware. This event features a wide variety of free health screenings for local adults ages 55 and older, wellness activities, and more. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
A variety of free screenings will be available, including balance, blood pressure, blood sugar, bone density, cholesterol, cognitive, dental, electrocardiogram, fall risk, fitness, foot, glaucoma, hearing, heartrate, kidney, memory, pulse oximetry, spinal nerve, video otoscopy, and vision.
Additional activities and resources include alternate therapies such as acupuncture, chair massage, and reiki, along with assistive technology, emergency response systems, healthy eating and cooking demonstrations, independent living, mental health, pelvic health, personal training demonstrations, reading services, social isolation, walker and cane fittings, and more.
Attendees have the opportunity to participate in a free brown bag medication review with a pharmacist. Those interested should bring all prescription and over-the-counter medications for a professional assessment of side effects, interactions, and correct usage.
Flu vaccines will be available, for which multiple insurance plans are accepted, as is payment via cash or check.
