Man accused of credit card misuse indicted

A Columbus man accused of using several stolen credit cards was indicted by a Delaware County grand jury Friday.

Marlon B. Banks, 49, of Columbus, was indicted on a count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony; identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony; and misuse of credit cards, a first-degree misdemeanor. The charges stem from a call to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office from Liberty Township firefighters on Feb. 22.

“Deputies responded to the Liberty Township Fire Department on a report of missing credit cards, taken from vehicles in the parking lot,” said Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien. “The cards were later used at several stores, including Speedway, Wendy’s and Meijer.”

Also indicted by the grand jury Friday were:

• Cory W. Call, 22, 15 Branch St., on a charge of receiving stolen property, four counts of forgery, and a charge of theft, which are all fifth-degree felonies. Prosecutors said Call was arrested after a Delaware resident reported her purse was stolen on June 5.

• Justin K. Carroll, 25, who is homeless, on a charge of burglary, a second-degree felony; and a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• Shayla L. Johnson, who is homeless, on a charge of burglary, a second-degree felony; and a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• Dillen W. Collins, 23, 147 Columbus Ave., on a charge of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony.

• Jacob P. Gladden, of 339 E. Central Ave., on a charge of trespass in habitation, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• Tyler Harman, 25, of Mount Vernon, on a charge of receiving stolen property, five counts of forgery and a charge of theft, all fifth-degree felonies.

• Kevin T. Goodman, of Columbus, on two counts of theft, which are fifth-degree felonies.

• Julie A. Haywood of Westerville, on a charge of theft, a fourth-degree felony.

• Autumn R. Hunley of Columbus, on a charge of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

• Shirlene M. Jackson, 23, of Columbus, on two counts of theft, which are fifth-degree felonies.

• Dezarae C. Johnson, 26, of Columbus, on a charge of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

• Molly S. Nelson, of Powell, on two counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies.

• Karen L. Meisse, of Powell, on two counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies.
