Delaware police report:

An adult man punched his mother in the face at their home on Flax Street Saturday night. Police arrived and saw minor injuries to the woman’s face. Officers found the son trying to conceal himself on the ground near a garage. He was arrested, charged with domestic violence and taken to the Delaware County Jail.

A fight occurred at The Jug Saturday night. Officers spoke to a man who allegedly started the fight and found he was “extremely intoxicated.” The bar’s staff said the man had been refused service due to his intoxication and was asked to leave. However, he tried to fight other patrons at the bar and was again asked to leave. He then started a fight with a staff member and police were then called. No one at the bar wanted to press charges and officers drove the man home. No charges were filed.
