To the editor:
I was in town this past weekend attending the Ironman 70.3 triathlon. I just wanted to take a moment to thank the people of Delaware for being so welcoming and accommodating. I know what a hassle it can be to have a big race in town; the traffic tie ups, road closures, noise early in the morning, and so on.
So many of you were out cheering us on and volunteering at the aid stations, and it was terrific. None of us could ever do these events without the help of the volunteers and the towns in which they are held. Special thanks to sprinkler guy and the 2 dudes in Speedos for making the hot run course way more fun.
It was my first 70.3, and I’ll never forget the experience I had in Delaware. Thank you all so much.
