To the editor:
For an evening of pure delightful entertainment, I would strongly recommend one of the three remaining performances of the Ohio Wesleyan spring musical “Red Hot and Cole!,” now playing at the Chappelear Drama Center on campus. Especially if you are a senior citizen, don’t miss it.
As the title suggests, it is a musical biography of the famous early 20th century composer and playwright Cole Porter. My parents went to see his musicals and I grew up loving his songs. This show has about 30 of them — all part of a lavishly presented story of Cole’s life.
If you like singing and dancing, this is the show for you.
The cast is large, talented, energetic and enthusiastic. The pit orchestra provides the perfect accompaniment.
The remaining shows are April 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and April 17 at 2 p.m.
I’m sure that you will enjoy it as much as Darlene and I did.
