To the editor:

The Radnor Heritage Society wants to thank all the people for coming – lining our streets for our Memorial Day parade and the service in the Radnor Cemetery. We were so blessed to have you to help us celebrate the day we honor our service men and women.

Thanks to all of you that participated in the parade. You made it a great one. We had over 54 units in the parade which made it a special occasion.

Thanks to the following people: Bill Price, speaker at the ceremony in the cemetery; the Buckeye Valley Alumni Band, directed by Bill Everhart, for their patriotic music; the Buckeye Valley Middle School students for leading the Pledge of Allegiance, giving the Gettysburg Address and the Preamble to the Constitution; and Packer Aviation for the fly-over. A special thanks to Todd Coonfare and his crew for making our Radnor Township Cemetery one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the area.

Thanks to the Radnor United Church of Christ for its wonderful breakfast and to everyone who went in to enjoy it. We thank the Radnor Township Fire Department for its great pig roast after the services.

It was a perfect morning and a great day to honor all our services men and women. Again, thanks to everyone who came and supported our Memorial Day services. God bless you all!
