Hillary has dismal record

I am writing in regard to the article written by Mariann Main in the Oct. 24 edition of the Delaware Gazette. Mariann urged voters to listen to Kasich and not vote for Donald Trump, however to my knowledge Kasich has not endorsed either candidate.

She feels the U.S. should elect a woman because other nations have elected women leaders. I feel it is fine to elect a woman if they are qualified. The upcoming election is the most unusual one I have ever seen.

On the one side we have a woman who is a confirmed habitual liar, so how could you ever believe any thing she promises. Not to mention the lives lost in Benghazi partly because of her policies. The reader may be tired of hearing about Benghazi but I for one am still deeply grieved for these needless deaths.

I wonder if Mariann has read the U.S. House of Representatives report by the Select committee on Benghazi. I would ask your readers to read it for themselves, if for no other reason than out of respect for Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods, who gave their lives during that attack. Also, for all our brave men and women in the military who put their lives in harms way every day.

Rep. Mike Pompeo released the following statement regarding this report: “We expect our government to make every effort to save the lives of Americans who serve in harm’s way. That did not happen in Benghazi. Politics were put ahead of the lives of Americans, and while the administration had made excuses and blamed the challenges posed by time and distance, the truth is that they did not try.” I might ad he is only one of many, including women, who are very disappointed with the way the situation in Benghazi was handled. So according to Mariann casting a vote for the cooler-headed female candidate is the wise choice, but I ask, when is the wise decision to vote for someone who has made so many costly mistakes in her political career and then instead of acknowledging them to lie consistently?

I agree that we don’t know what kind of President Donald Trump would be and he is certainly not a politician. Donald Trump was not my first choice as a candidate but in my estimate he is the most qualified because we know with Hillary’s dismal record and her untruthfulness what kind of President she will be.

I do agree with Mariann on one thing— our government system is broken.

We need leaders who care about our country more than their own agenda. I feel Donald Trump cares deeply for our country and will surround himself with others who feel likewise, but have the experience he will need. We need leaders who are strong enough to make tough decisions and not buckle under pressure.

When we have a woman running for president who can be trusted and has leadership qualities I assure you she will get my vote.
