Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1095, Delaware County. would like to sincerely thank the following local county merchants for their generosity in assisting our organization with our twice a year (Memorial Day and Christmas) display of wreaths on Delaware County Vietnam KIA Servicemen’s graves and Vietnam Monuments, located on the Courthouse lawn and Veterans Memorial Park.

The support and contributions from Oakland Nursery of Delaware, Pat Catan’s, Craft-Floral, R. B. Powers Company, Smidge & Pinch, and T & C Foods (local Wendy’s) Inc., are greatly appreciated.

We would also like to thank the Delaware City Council and the Delaware County Commissioners for their support and cooperation with our organization in this endeavor.

Thanks to the managements of Oak Grove and St. Mary’s Cemeteries along with the youth of the Junior Air Force ROTC and 4-H For Him Club for their assistance with maintaining the flags on all the individual veteran graves. The flags now remain on the graves year round; refreshed twice a year (prior to Memorial Day and Veterans Day) and replaced on an as needed basis.

Driving or walking through the cemeteries with all the flags flying, reflects on the hard fought freedom they helped protect so we may be able to celebrate this very special season.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and a very safe and Happy New Year from the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1095.
