Eagles soar to 18th win of season

Lyssi Snouffer had 12 kills to go with 21 digs and Sloane Dellipoala and Allison Grover finished with seven kills apiece as the Delaware Christian volleyball team rolled to a straight-set win over host Mount Gilead Monday night.

The Eagles won the first set 25-17 before taking the next two by respective scores of 25-12 and 25-17. They bumped their overall record to 18-1 with the win.

Other DCS standouts included Abby Blackburn, who finished with eight digs and six kills; Erin Bauslaugh, who had 17 assists, six digs and three kills; and Grace Williams who collected 17 assists of her own.

Next up, Delaware Christian returns to MOCAL action to take on host Tree of Life Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.

GIRLS TENNIS

Lily Tope and the duo of Abbey Eyerman and Sydney Wolf won three-set thrillers to help the Delaware Hayes girls tennis team edge Marion Harding 3-2 in non-league action Monday afternoon.

Tope won the clincher, rallying for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles. Eyerman and Wolf, meanwhile, outlasted their opponents at second doubles by a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 margin.

The Pacers’ other win came at second singles, where Alana Kay knocked off the Presidents’ Isabella Frazier 6-3, 6-2.

Hayes improved to 9-7 overall with the win.

FIELD HOCKEY

Josie Vance, Sydney Lowry and Haylie Sucharski each found the back of the net to lead the Olentangy Orange field hockey team to a 3-0 win over visiting Olentangy Monday night.
