OWU men’s soccer ranked No. 5 in preseason poll

Ohio Wesleyan was ranked No. 5 in the preseason NSCAA Division III men’s soccer rankings, it was announced by the NSCAA.

Ohio Wesleyan and head coach Jay Martin open the 2015 season by hosting Earlham on Tuesday, Sept. 1, before hosting the annual Fred Myers-adidas Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 4-5.

Last season, the Bishops won the North Coast Athletic Conference championship with an 8-0-1 record — Ohio Wesleyan’s seventh consecutive NCAC championship and its 23rd title in the 31 seasons of NCAC competition — made their NCAA-record 37th Division III playoff appearance, advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals for the 10th time and finished the season with a 17-5-4 overall record.
