He didn’t hit it perfectly, but Chris Vancalbergh didn’t have any complaints when his tee shot from the No. 9 hole found the green and rolled into the cup for a hole-in-one Tuesday morning at Oakhaven.
“To be truthful, I was having an off day,” the 67-year-old Vancalbergh said. “I pulled it a little bit, but the wind caught it and pushed it onto the green and in. I wish it was a prettier shot, but I’ll take it.”
The shot, the third hole-in-one of his career, came from the senior tee with a 5 wood. His other two aces were at Scioto Reserve and Kinsale.
