Brendon White threw for four touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Patriots to a lopsided 55-10 non-league win Friday in Powell.

After St. Thomas More (Ontario) opened the scoring with a 28-yard field goal off the foot of Kevin Matuga, White got Liberty (3-0) on the board with a 55-yard touchdown run. He plowed into the end zone on the ensuing two-point conversion to make it 8-3 with 3:18 left in the first quarter.

A safety made it 10-3 less than two minutes later before the Patriots opened up the passing game to break things open.

Liberty’s next four touchdowns came through the air, three from White to Johnny Wiseman for scoring strikes of 43, 73 and 63 yards.

A.J. Smith connected on a 36-yard field goal just before half, Matt Webb scored on a two-yard TD run near the end of the third quarter and Smith hit Mitchell Kershner from 18 yards out early in the fourth to account for the final margin.

White completed nine of his 18 passes for 235 yards and the four TDs and Wiseman had 189 yards receiving to go with his three touchdowns.
