Braves stay hot in league play

The Olentangy girls volleyball team dominated host New Albany Tuesday — the day it cracked the top 20 of the OHSAA Coaches Poll for the first time this season — cruising to a 25-16, 25-8, 25-12 win.

Nhu Do led the Braves with 11 kills, four aces and 2.5 blocks while Olivia Margolies finished with 10 kills in the win. Other standouts included Sarah Hansel, who chipped in six kills and 5.5 blocks; Zoe Miller, who had 17 digs; and Sophie Fritz, who closed with 26 assists.

Olentangy, which payed New Albany back for a five-set setback earlier in the year, improved to 13-5 overall and 9-2 in league play with the win.

Delaware Christian 3, Northside Christian 0

Erin McCullough finished with 13 digs and 12 kills while Liz Sullivan added a team-best 14 digs to go with six kills to lead Delaware Christian to a solid 25-20, 25-12, 25-16 win over Northside Christian Tuesday night.

Brianna Blackburn (25 assists) was also solid for the Eagles, who improved to 17-3 overall and 8-0 in MOCAL play with the win.

Liberty 3, Westland 0

Liberty continued its stellar season Tuesday, improving to 15-1 with a 25-23, 25-20, 25-12 win over host Westland.

Maddie Fogg finished with a team-best 25 assists while Lauren Burke and Shelby Stewart each had seven kills in the win.

Also: Big Walnut 3, Mount Vernon 0; Orange 3, Hayes 0.
