Delaney Earl scored a pair of goals and Hannah Sargent made three saves to preserve the shutout as the Olentangy Orange girls soccer team cruised to a 4-0 Division I sectional final win over visiting Westerville South Thursday in Lewis Center.

Alaina Foy and Camryn Thompson also found the back of the net for the ninth-seeded Pioneers, who advance to take on seventh-seeded Hilliard Darby in a district semifinal Tuesday in Hilliard.

Olentangy 9, Logan 0

The 11th-seeded Braves were dominant in their postseason opener, scoring at will en route to a 9-0 Division I sectional final win over visiting Logan Thursday in Lewis Center.

After an own goal put Olentangy up 1-0, eight different Braves — Maddy Bull, Julia Scott, Ireland Fallona, Abby Miller, Caitlin Myers, Sarah Markel, Morgan Zahner and Sydney Richards — scratched the scoring column to account for the final margin.

Myers and McKenna Reisterer had assists in the win.

With the victory, Olentangy will host 20th-seeded Hilliard Davidson, which upset eighth-seeded Grove City 2-1, Tuesday in Lewis Center.

Next up, ninth-seeded Olentangy will take on either New Albany or Newark in Wednesday’s district semifinal at Whitehall-Yearling High School.
