Buckeye Valley’s boys bowling team remained undefeated while the girls hung a loss on what was a perfect group of Presidents as BV swept away Marion Harding Thursday afternoon.

“Both teams stepped up tonight in the first match of the (new) year,” Buckeye Valley coach Madonna Wells said. “The thing we focused on was shooting spares and make them strike.”

The boys, led by Leo Wells’ 416 series (games of 194 and 222), won 2,215-2,106. Other Baron standouts included Jimmy Davis, who had games of 214 and 171; Nick Cooper, who rolled games of 174 and 201; Spencer Milligan, who had a 186 and Jacob Moeslein, who finished with a 188 game.

The girls won 1,956-1,711. Morgan Stuart sparked the team with a 412 series (games of 231 and 181). Carly Kelley was also solid, finishing with games of 171 and 208, while Tara McClure (364 series) Sydney Lenart (244 series) and Fiona Tseng (230 series) also rolled well.

Buckeye Valley returns to action Monday against North Union.
