The Buckeye Valley boys lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season Saturday, topping visiting Marysville 11-5.

Nathan Heiser scored three goals and chipped in two assists for the Barons. Trent Slavik also had a hat trick while adding an assist to his stat line.

Other BV standouts included Andy Nero (three assists) and Hayden Kaiser (two goals).

Nick Gerold anchored the defense with two saves in the Baron goal.

Luke Peterson led Marysville with three goals and an assist while Jacob Hallinger finished with 15 saves in the Monarch goal.

Liberty 11, Solon 3

Vincent Ramondelli had four goals and an assist to lead the Patriots to a convincing non-league win over Solon Saturday in Powell.
