First annual Little Brown Jog set for Sunday

0

If you’re from around here, odds are you know what the racetrack at the Delaware County Fairgrounds looks like. It is, after all, home of the Little Brown Jug — one of the most coveted harness races for three-year-old pacing standardbreds you’ll ever find.

Do you know what it looks like from the horses’ perspective, though? If not, you’ll have your chance when the first annual Little Brown Jog comes to town. The one of a kind 5K and Kids Fun Run is slated for Sunday. The Kids Fun Run gets underway at 9 a.m. while the adult 5K is scheduled to follow at 9:30.

The run will take place on the track. You can’t get a better preview of the upcoming Jug than that.

Participants will be treated to a true race experience as WDLR will announce the event as they would during the actual Little Brown Jug. Complete with race t-shirt, finishers medal, swag bag and race photo, this is an event for all ages.
