DNC 2016: Delegates from Indiana stress the need for growing education

0

PHILADELPHIA — Growing education is a key issue for the delegates from Indiana who are attending the Democratic National Convention.

John Zody, chairman of the Indiana State Democratic Party, said he wants to see public education protected and that another vital part is increasing funding for early education.

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, has said she will work to ensure every child — from every zip code — has access to a “world-class education, including access to high-quality preschool.

Clinton said she wants to make sure education is available to everyone and college has to be affordable to alleviate students incurring huge debt.

Clinton has acknowledged that American families are “drowning in debt,” adding that “it is imperative that the next president put forward a bold plan to make debt-free collage available to all.”
