POWELL — Alan D. Meredith, 29, of Delaware, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the James Cancer Hospital after a courageous 10 month battle with sarcoma.
He was a graduate of Olentangy High School class of 2004, where he was involved with band and thespian groups. He went on to receive an Associate Degree from Columbus State. He was a former employee of the CVS in Powell and most recently was employed by The Home Depot in Marysville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald L. Meredith and Ralph Holloway.
Alan is survived by his parents, David and Peggy Meredith; sister, Katie (Michael) Freeland; nephew, Wesley Freeland; grandmothers, Juanita Meredith and Patricia Holloway; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Road/State Route 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway), Powell, OH 43065 (614-792-1471). Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at POWELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 825 East Olentangy Street (1/4 mile west on State Route 315) Powell, Ohio. Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.
