Erosion control project scheduled at Grady

OhioHealth is in the planning stages for a budgeted erosion control project on the southwest side of Grady Memorial Hospital.

The on-site work will begin soon with completion expected by June 30. As part of the project, construction teams will be installing self-anchoring, stacked systems of stonewalls to reinforce the current landscape.

The goal of the project is to help avoid further erosion and avoid damage to vegetation and wildlife in that area.

“OhioHealth commits to infrastructure projects like this throughout the system each year. With this project, we want to make sure the hillside, flowers and plants near OhioHealth Grady Memorial Hospital are not damaged from further erosion. We are confident this work will help provide a solid foundation to shore up the area for years to come,” said Rajeev Sinha, director of OhioHealth Design and Construction and Central Ohio Inpatient Facilities.

There are no concerns of impact to hospital infrastructure with the project, according to an OhioHealth spokesman.
