Delaware police report:

Cut-up carpets were illegally dumped in the garbage at the Marathon gas station on Sunbury Road without the owner’s permission, officers reported Tuesday morning. Police have no suspects.

A woman was charged with theft Tuesday morning. Officers said she attempted to leave the Kohl’s store on Sunbury Road with $1,372 in merchandise without paying.

A woman said her phone was stolen while she was at a business on State Route 37 Tuesday afternoon. Police opened an investigation but the woman called back and said she had found her phone.
