Delaware police report:

A 51-year-old man was cited for begging Wednesday morning in the area of Wal-Mart on Columbus Pike. Police issued a summons to him to appear in court for the charge and asked him to move along. Police said the man is homeless.

A Harvard Loop man was scammed out of $1,000 Wednesday. The man told police he had made a deal after seeing an ad on Craigslist to purchase a motorcycle. The man learned it was a scam when the seller asked for more money. An investigation is ongoing.

Tires were slashed Tuesday afternoon while a car was parked in the 300 block of Hawthorn Boulevard. Police have no suspects.

A lawnmower was stolen from a backyard in the 100 block of Lincoln Street overnight Monday. Police have no suspects.
