Delaware police report:

Police were called to a hotel on Columbus Pike Friday afternoon when management asked police to supervise an individual vacating a room. Officers stood by as an individual removed items from the room. However, during the process, a handgun and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Police seized these items and an investigation is underway to determine which of the individuals staying in the room actually owned the gun and if the firearm was legally possessed.

The mother of a 13-year-old boy reported Friday that the boy was assaulted several days prior at the Mingo Park Recreation Center. The woman told police he had been in the locker room after it started raining and another juvenile repeatedly punched him. An investigation is pending, police say.

A 22-year-old reportedly threatened the staff at UDF Monday morning. Police arrived and charged the man with aggravated menacing.

An air-conditioning unit and wires were reported stolen from a construction site on Lehner Wood Boulevard Monday morning. Police have no suspects. The stolen items were worth $2,300.
