SourcePoint will host a free workshop for local social workers and health care professionals on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The workshop, at 800 Cheshire Road in Delaware, will examine the communication challenges faced by many older adults and provide practical techniques for improving communication with older adults and their families.

The workshop will also examine the impact of local resources on the continuity of care spectrum for older adults in Delaware County.

By attending the workshop, social workers, counselors and nurses can earn one free credit of continuing education, approved through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

The workshop is presented by SourcePoint and sponsored by Interim HealthCare and HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties Inc.

The keynote speaker is Paula M. Taliaferro, who works at the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging and has presented more than 550 workshops in the last decade.
