The Evening Kiwanis Club of Delaware will hold its 14th annual Pancake and Sausage Brunch at Dempsey Middle School on Saturday.

As has been the practice every year, veterans will be honored guests of the club for all the pancakes and sausage they can eat. In addition to receiving their meals free, Veterans will also be presented with special handmade thank-you cards prepared by members of the Delaware Aktion Club and the OWU Circle-K Club.

A new twist to this year’s brunch will be the addition of martial arts demonstrations and entertainment by various musical, dance and drama groups. These performances will run from 9 a.m. until noon. Groups participating at this year’s Pancake & Sausage Brunch will be as follows: 9-9:30 a.m., Ruffing Martial Arts; 9:30 to 9:45 a.m, The Dempsey Drama & Performing Arts Students; 9:45 to 10 a.m. and 10:15 to 10:30 a.m. The Ohio Heartland Chapter of Sweet Adelines; 10 to 10:15 The Hayes Pacer Dance Team; 10:30 to 11 a.m., The Delaware City Schools Suzuki Violins; 11 to 11:15 Sourcepoint – Golden Notes; and 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. The Hayes Players Chamber Orchestra.

Presale tickets are available from any Evening Kiwanis member or get them at the brunch. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s brunch will go toward the purchase of an AmTryke bike for a child with special needs or a wounded warrior from the Delaware area.
