The Delaware County Genealogical Society will hold an open house on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the community room of the Delaware County District Library, 84 E. Winter St.

Society members have invited Delaware County area residents to attend to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary.

Attendees can enjoy refreshments (cake, hot sandwiches) and bring any questions about genealogy that society members can answer.

The organization is a nonprofit group dedicated to preserving family histories.

A short business meeting and election of officers will begin at 1:30 p.m. Society members will be there from 1 to 4 p.m.

Sunbury’s Dave Martin will sing and play guitar music.

On May 18, 1985, the Ohio Genealogical Society granted a charter to Delaware County as a chapter of the OGS. There are still a number of charter members involved.

Current board and officers are president Nancy Bendle; vice president Judi Hill; treasurer June Feuillerat; recording secretary Karen Gay; corresponding secretary Millie Barnhart; trustee Henry Banks; trustee Jennifer Gould; trustee Crystal Kohler; trustee Eileen Rhonemus; trustee Betty Stimmel; and newspaper editor Bob Feuillerat.
